We are looking for a proactive and highly organised individual to join our welcoming team in the Acute Stroke Unit. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and making a real difference in the smooth running of our services.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of this role is to provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to the Acute Stroke team, ensuring efficient coordination of patient care and clinical activity. The post holder manages appointments, produces accurate clinical correspondence, maintains patient records, and acts as a key contact for patients, carers, and healthcare professionals. This role supports the smooth running of the service and helps deliver timely, effective stroke care.

Qualifications and Training
Knowledge and Experience
* Previous secretarial experience
* Previous experience working in the NHS or healthcare setting
* Knowledge of and previous experience using Millennium and Microsoft Office

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and, as such, it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Salary: £25,760 to £27,476 per year, pro rata.
