Senior Technical Manager
* £60,000 - £70,000 (please note that this includes car allowance)
* Hybrid / work from home role you will be required in the Midlands HQ once per week, along with a proportion of on-site support
* Essential experience required:
*Technical leadership or management role within a construction, building materials, or related sector, along with a hands-on / practical background in construction.
*Hands-on experience across product design / development, product innovation and enhancement.

In this role, you will:
* Lead and deliver technical training for internal teams, contractors, and industry partners.
* Be involved in hands-on product design / development and innovation.
* Serve as the go-to technical expert, resolving on-site challenges and providing timely support.
* Manage and defend product specifications to grow market share, revenue, and profit.
* Produce key technical documentation including reports, surveys, and guarantees.
* Collaborate across departments to influence product development and portfolio strategy.
* Support all aspects of operations, standards, health & safety, environmental compliance, and more.
Key Candidate Requirements Senior Technical Manager
* You will have a proven hands-on, practical construction background.
* Experience in a technical leadership or management role within a construction, building materials, or related sector, along with an operations / quality type background.
* Proven hands-on experience across product design, development, product innovation and enhancement.
* Strong understanding of product specifications, installation best practices, and relevant British / European Standards / NHBC standards.
* Experience developing, and delivering technical training for internal teams, contractors, and external partners.
* Ability to provide technical support and troubleshooting on-site and remotely.
* Skilled in producing and maintaining technical documentation, including specifications, inspection reports, surveys, and guarantees.
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to track, monitor, and progress technical initiatives.
* Excellent customer relationship management / customer facing skills; able to address feedback and ensure satisfaction.
* Commitment to continuous improvement and personal development; ability to identify and close skills gaps.
Key Responsibilities - Senior Technical Manager
* Technical Training & Product Expertise: Keep up to date with best practices, safety standards, and product benefits; develop training materials, manuals, and online resources.
* Project Support & Application: Provide on-site and remote support to ensure correct product application and compliance with standards.
* Continuous Improvement: Review training programs, enhance technical documentation, and contribute to product development.
* Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, technical support, and operations on R&D, design product innovation, and project planning.
* Customer Relations & Service: Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams, addressing feedback, and ensuring high satisfaction.
* Personal Development: Identify skill gaps and proactively pursue development opportunities.
