What you’ll be doing

As a People Services Administrator you will support the full colleague lifecycle and help deliver a smooth and welcoming experience for colleagues across the business.


Responsibilities

* Maintain and update employee records and people systems with a high level of accuracy.
* Respond to colleague queries via phone and email in a professional and supportive manner.
* Process colleague lifecycle changes including new starters, leavers and contract amendments.
* Support recruitment activity, including interview coordination and candidate communication.
* Coordinate onboarding and induction processes to ensure a positive new starter experience.
* Prepare people documentation such as contracts, offer letters, and employment-related correspondence.
* Support payroll and reward administration processes with accurate colleague data.
* Identify and correct data quality issues to maintain reliable records.
* Support colleague engagement initiatives and wider people team activities.
* Act as a first point of contact for people systems and administration queries.
* Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.


Qualifications

* Previous experience working within an HR Shared Services or People Administration environment.
* Strong customer‑service mindset with a passion for delivering a positive colleague experience.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.


Experience and Skills

* Experience handling confidential and sensitive information professionally.
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data entry, formulas and lookups.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook.
* Experience using people systems and databases.
* Strong problem‑solving and administrative skills.

Job Details

Location: Haydock (Hybrid – 2 days in the office)

Hours: Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours per week.

Workplace flexibility: Flexible working options available, including amended hours and job share opportunities.
