Our machining facility delivers precision-engineered ferrite components across small to large volumes, enabling rapid turnaround, custom geometries, and consistently high performance for demanding applications. The Role Gateway is looking for a Warehouse Operative to support the efficient day-to-day operation of our warehouse. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the role involves goods receiving, picking and packing, inventory control, value-added services, and supporting production and assembly activities as required. All tasks must be carried out in line with company procedures, quality standards, and health & safety requirements. Key Responsibilities Receive, check, and book in goods. Pick, pack, and prepare goods for dispatch. Complete courier documentation. Carry out stock counts, QC inspections, and counterfeit checks. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse. Follow ESD and MSL handling procedures. Operate forklift truck and carry out minor maintenance tasks. Support production, machine shop, and assembly teams when required. Contribute to process and efficiency improvements. About You – Person Specification Essential You have previous experience working in a warehouse or similar operational environment. You demonstrate strong attention to detail, ensuring a high level of accuracy in all tasks. You are able to follow established procedures and maintain quality standards. You have a good awareness of health and safety requirements and apply them consistently. You are reliable, flexible, and work well as part of a team. If you don’t already hold a forklift truck licence, you will be willing to undertake training and gain one on the job Desirable You have experience with stock control and inventory management systems. You have an understanding of ESD/static handling procedures. You have experience working with courier services such as FedEx or UPS. Personal Attributes You are proactive, enthusiastic, and keen to learn new skills. You are well organised, with a practical and hands-on approach to work. You bring a positive attitude and a strong work ethic to everything you do.
