Class Teacher (SEMH) – Specialist Provision – Bordon, Hampshire – ASAP Start We are working with a specialist provision in the Bordon area that is looking to appoint a Class Teacher on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible through to the end of the academic year. This setting supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, many of whom have experienced disrupted education or require a more tailored, relationship-led approach to learning. Class sizes are small, with strong support staff presence, allowing for a more individualised and structured learning environment. This is a role where building trust and consistency is just as important as delivering the curriculum. The school is looking for someone who can create a calm, engaging classroom where pupils feel safe, understood and able to re-engage with education. The role will involve: Planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet a range of needs Supporting pupils with SEMH needs to engage with learning Working closely with Learning Support Assistants and pastoral staff Managing behaviour through consistency, routine and positive relationships Monitoring progress and adapting teaching to support individual development About the setting: Small class sizes with high staff-to-pupil ratios Strong leadership team with a clear behaviour and support framework Emphasis on structure, routine and relationship-building Supportive environment where staff are valued and backed Role details: Full-time position ASAP start Ongoing role until the end of the academic year Potential for longer-term opportunities The ideal candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience teaching in SEMH, SEND or alternative provision (desirable) Confident managing behaviour and building strong relationships Adaptable, resilient and proactive Requirements: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Up-to-date safeguarding training
