Position - Youth Mentor
Location - North Manchester (M9)
Pay - £490-£575 per week, depending on experience
Start date - 27/04/2026, or ASAP
Hours - Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
Are you a calm and resilient youth mentor, seeking a new role? We are currently working with a lovely, SEMH provision in the North Manchester area, looking to recruit an experienced youth mentor to join their team.
About the School
Prospero Teaching are currently working with a lovely, SEMH provision in the North Manchester. The school supports pupils aged between 11-16, with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, focusing on providing a nurturing environment for young people to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
* Assist in both 1-1 and group support
* Promote fun and engaging activities
* Maintain regular communication with parents and other staff members
* Build rapport with pupils, offering both academic and emotional support
Experience, Training and Qualifications
* Up to date Safeguarding qualification within the last year (Desired but training can be provided)
* Team Teach Level 2 is highly desired
* A full, clean driving license is highly desired for this position
* Previous experience supporting SEMH within a school or community-based role
To be Eligible for this Role
* Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
* Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
