Integrated External Relations Director
Job Description
Your challenge:
You will take end-to-end responsibility for strategic communications activities, designing and implementing campaigns that tell Philips’ story to key audiences across the globe, focusing on the informed public, stakeholders, investors, and society. You will play a key role in transforming our External Relations team in close partnership with the Head of External Relations.
Your role:
* Building connections and trust within the media and social media ecosystem, including global media contacts, influencers, paid media partners, and emerging audiences.
* Supporting the management of Philips’ newsroom, including media and influencer outreach and relationship-building.
* Developing and executing integrated reputation campaigns using digital tools and partnerships to tell compelling stories quickly.
* Creating reputation-focused campaigns over months and producing fast-paced content and story angles for immediate release.
* Ensuring ROI in all activities, from securing top-tier media coverage to designing measurable corporate reputation campaigns.
* Innovating ways of working across the communications process, from defining audiences and objectives to content creation, activation, and evaluation.
You're the right fit if:
* You are a team player eager to learn and adopt new channels, partnerships, and content formats as we evolve our communications ecosystem.
* You have at least 7 years of experience in communications and media relations, including digital campaigning.
* Your core skills include news generation, PR, and direct media relationship management.
* You are a strong communicator capable of developing and implementing strategic communication plans aligned with business goals, and executing them with high quality.
* You speak native-level English and have a broad global perspective.
* Desirable: understanding of regulated industries such as financial services, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare.
* Desirable: knowledge of the Dutch media landscape.
