You will be an inspiring Curriculum Lead with a background in Hair & Beauty, ensuring that the standards and the quality of teaching and learning are constantly improved and that all members of staff work towards delivering excellence. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Deliver a flexible and innovative curriculum that is responsive to feedback from current learners and anticipates likely changes in demand from future learners. Continually improve standards of course performance and teaching and learning across all areas within the curriculum area. Provide clear leadership to all the staff within the curriculum area so that the College can achieve its overall objective of being excellent in all areas. In conjunction with the relevant Curriculum Leaders and Co-ordinators to agree targets for the recruitment and success of students at course level (including performance in English & Maths).Required Skills and Experience: Has a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline. Holds an appropriate teaching qualification such as DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent; Proven track record and experience of managing people to achieve excellent standards of teaching and learning. Has a good knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting teaching and learning within the curriculum area and affecting the FE sector in general. Is well organised and able to manage the peaks and troughs of a varied workload. Able to communicate effectively with students and peers. A good working knowledge of quality assurance processes within an FE setting. Proven track record in a Curriculum Manager (or equivalent) role. Experience of working with employers and service providers designing programmes to meet needs. A sound knowledge of the current hairdressing, beauty and media make-up qualifications as part of a study programme to successfully prepare students for industry and/or higher educationWhat’s in it for you?
