We are working with a leading group providing health services based in Liverpool, to recruit a confident and capable Payroll Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step into this stand alone role where you’ll manage the full payroll process and play a key role in ensuring staff across the business are paid accurately and on time.
Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:
* End to end payroll processing of weekly and monthly payrolls
* Ensuring compliance with all statutory regulations and internal policies
* Managing payroll queries and providing advice on pay, tax, NI, pensions etc
* Supporting the finance team with payroll reporting and reconciliations
* Working with external partners such as pension providers, HMRC etc
* Implementing process improvements and supporting future system upgrades
For this Payroll Manager vacancy, we are looking for:
* Proven experience running payrolls, ideally in house although bureau background will be considered
* Experience with weekly payrolls and working with time and attendance systems
* Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements
* Solid payroll systems knowledge
* A proactive approach and strong interpersonal skills
