Providing outstanding autism specialist residential care in Stockton-On-Tees, we are looking to recruit full and part time Support Workers to join our team of Support Workers at our specialist residential home for adults with autism and associated conditions.
If you have a contemporary understanding of autism and are interested in developing the latest research and practice skills so that people with autism can thrive in their local community, then we want to hear from you!
Our autism practice model is based on academically approved standards, and is aligned with autism good practice and national guidance. As part of a new team you will support us in providing people with autism with an outcome focused service, with person centred active support at its core.
You will be responsible for supporting individuals within their home and the community.
Based at Durham Road in Stockton, if you have to travel to another base then mileage will be paid.
Please note that we are currently unable to sponsor overseas applicants and eligibility to work in the UK is required.
Essential criteria:
Key attributes:
1. QCF Level 3 in Adult Health & Social Care
2. Experience of working with people with autism.
3. Experience of supporting people with a Positive Behaviour Support approach.
4. Full, clean driving licence.
5. Experience of the key worker role.
6. Good communication skills.
7. Ability to work as part of a team.
8. Able to provide personal care.
9. Able to work flexible hours including weekends, nights etc according to the needs of the people in service.
10. Honesty and reliability.
11. Interested, motivated and committed.
12. Accessible, approachable and comfortable with vulnerable people.
