We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated full time Therapy Support Worker, to join the St Ives Neighbourhood Team based at Kings Hall, Parsons Green, St. Ives PE WY.
You will be fully supported by physiotherapists and occupational therapists delivering therapy to patients with primarily physical disabilities. The therapy service within the Neighbourhood Team provides rehabilitation, housing adaptations, moving and handling to adults over years and works alongside nurses, mental health practitioners and other multi-disciplinary professionals in the St Ives area.
Main duties of the job
Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have use of a vehicle. You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is able to work within the Community Therapy team to provide a high standard of care to our patients.
You will be required to support with mobility and appropriate exercises, activities of daily living (ADL’s) and provision of equipment to facilitate independence and reduce risks as well as completing falls prevention interventions where indicated.
You will be supported by a registered professional to carry out appropriate and delegated assessments, treatments and identify risks whilst working in the community.
