SEN KS3 Teacher & Horticulture LeadSalary: £32,916 to £49,232 pro rata (M1 UPS2 pro rata)Contract: Permanent, Part?TimeLocation: BerkeleyHours: 2.5 or 3 days per weekA specialist school for 1116 year olds with a range of SEN needs including SEMH and ASC is seeking a passionate SEN KS3 Teacher & Horticulture Lead. Outdoor learning, employability and real?world skills are central to the schools ethos.We are looking for a creative, resilient teacher with experience delivering outdoor education, horticulture or forest school style activities .The RoleAs the SEN KS3 Teacher & Horticulture Lead, you will deliver high?quality, personalised learning to pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and anxiety?related needs.
Youll use outdoor learning to build confidence, develop practical skills and support emotional wellbeing.Key responsibilities include:Delivering and developing a curriculum tailored to individual needsWorking collaboratively as part of a multi?disciplinary teamCreating and reviewing short, medium and long?term plansSetting and monitoring personalised learning targetsAssessing, reviewing and reporting on pupil progressContributing to EHCP reviews, PEPs, LAC reviews and other statutory processesDeveloping reflective, engaging lesson plansLeading horticulture/outdoor learning sessions that promote independence and life skillsExperience & QualificationsEssential: PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualificationExperience working in a school environmentDesirable: Postgraduate diploma in SENExperience delivering a differentiated curriculumExperience delivering forest school, horticulture or outdoor education sessionsTPBN1_UKTJ
