Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and be capable of diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicles and machinery. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
* Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and machinery to identify issues.
* Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other mechanical components.
* Utilise diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot problems effectively.
* Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
* Collaborate with other team members to enhance operational efficiency.
* Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology.
* Repair and maintain vehicles within and above operator licensing requirements
* Attend out of hours breakdowns when required
* Be present at the yard on Monday morning to deal with any defects, issues and breakdowns.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and repair techniques.
* Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A valid C+E licence
* Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive technology or mechanics are advantageous.
