If you enjoy working with children and have the resilience to deal with challenging behaviours while offering a caring and supportive therapeutic approach, Pebbles Care would love to hear from you. This role involves collaborative work across a small cluster of homes with varied shift patterns to support holiday or training cover.
Your responsibilities include daily home life tasks such as driving children to and from school, appointments, and visits. You will also teach valuable life skills, including meal preparation and household chores, while creating engaging activities, outings, and holidays.
Your role as a Cluster Residential Child Care Worker You will be employed full-time as a dedicated team member, averaging 56.4 hours per week, including sleep hours. Working collaboratively with your team on shift across multiple locations in a cluster of homes within a short journey of each other, you will provide support tailored to the young person’s needs, either one-to-one or two-to-one. Training begins on day one with a comprehensive induction and shadow shifts, learning about the Pebbles Way and our therapeutic care model, supported by your manager and our in-house Learning and Development team.
What We Offer You
* A starting salary of £34,719.00 to £36,248.00 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.
* Cluster full-time rota pattern: one day on (24 hours, including sleepover) and two days off (48 hours). Schedule may change with advance notice; salary stated reflects the set rota pattern.
* Average weekly hours including sleepovers: 56.4. Rota depends on home needs.
* 5.6 weeks annual leave per annum (pro‑rata for part-time contracts).

Desirable qualities
* Up to 12 months experience with children or young adults (more than 12 months may qualify for higher salaries).
* Working toward or desire to obtain SCQF Level 7 or Level 3 Diploma related to residential care (funding may be available).
* Familiarity with codes of practice by regulatory bodies.
* PVG/DBS certificate (existing preferred).
