Overview
Ward 36 is a short‑stay area with an expected discharge of less than 72 hours, providing a varied and fast‑paced clinical environment for the health care team.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering safe, high‑quality clinical care to patients at all times.
* Work under direct and indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse.
* Complete required training before undertaking additional duties; once trained and deemed competent, undertake clinical tasks within the scope of the job.
* Collaborate within the clinical area to meet the needs of patients and their families, following Group policies and procedures.
* Commit to a work‑based learning and development programme, including a Level 2 or 3 Healthcare Support Worker apprenticeship and the Care Certificate.
Qualifications
* Band 3 Health Care Support Worker.
* Motivated and compassionate with experience in a healthcare setting.
* Willingness and ability to undertake a Level 2 or 3 HCSW apprenticeship, including the Care Certificate.
