Your new role
This is a newly created Accounts Assistant job, joining a lean, experienced and friendly accounts team. You will be supporting the Senior Accounts Assistant with varied duties which include but are not limited to:
* Processing sales invoices
* Reconciling delivery notes to purchase/ sales invoices received
* Process supplier invoices, set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details
* Reconcile supplier statements to Sage accounts and make the payments
* Process business expense returns, petty cash/credit card
* Update the cash book daily, and monthly bank statements reconciliation
* Payment allocations on Sage 200
* Payroll
* Assist with credit control, payment applications and final account reconciliations.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this job, you will require a minimum of 2/3 years' current accounts experience as well as:
* Previous purchase/sales ledger experience
* An aptitude for IT - knowledge of software packages like Excel. Must have Sage 200 experience
* Bookkeeping experience
* Great interpersonal and communications skills
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to monthly deadlines
