As a Payroll Team Leader, you will be part of a team responsible for processing the payroll of around 4000 employees which sits within our Shared Services Finance function located in our European Head Office in London. This role requires an experienced payroll individual who is highly organised and can work well under pressure. Excellent attention to detail and data entry skills are essential. The team is friendly, supportive, and will provide excellent training. Ownership of monthly payroll process including: - - Accurate and on-time processing of the United Kingdom payroll. - Maintenance of timekeeping system (mytime) - Starters, leavers, and changes. You will have responsibility of managing members of the team. Provide effective communication in stakeholder management and development. Support on all EU payroll projects to deliver corporate objectives. P60, P11d collation and submission. Proactively audit the payroll information received to ensure there is appropriate authorisation. Oversee payroll reporting and balance reconciliations at each payroll end. Import Pension Scheme contributions and manage Royal London data / payments monthly. Assisting with pension queries (automatic enrolment and opt-out). Preparation of payroll Journals and bonus accruals. Execute precise calculations for adjustments, including pro-rata figures. Ensure all payroll related issues are handled in the most efficient and timely manner possible. Assist the wider payroll team with any other ad-hoc tasks. Keep up to date with new legislation, ensuring policies and procedures are correctly in place and documented. Ensuring operational service reviews take place monthly to ensure the delivery standards are managed against the service level agreements. Comply with internal and external audit requirements. Proven experience of processing UK and European payrolls, ideally in a retail business at Team Leader level, or equivelent. Experience in managing a team. Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and support the wider team, alongside your role. Excellent attention to detail. Able to work and engage with others in a fast-paced payroll office to meet deadlines. Able to work in a dynamic environment with different processes per brand / country. Understanding and knowledge of MS Office suite- Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Google Workplace. Excellent communications skills, with a can-do attitude and enthusiam to develop and grow in your role.
