Freelance Site Engineer – 10‑on / 4‑off Rotation | Highlands

Start Date: 7th April (next rotation)
Duration: Until end of May (potential to extend)
We’re recruiting a Freelance Site Engineer to support a major project in the Highlands. With a high volume of survey work and a team member heading off on paternity leave, they’re looking for someone who can step in quickly and keep the project running smoothly.
This role operates on a 10‑on / 4‑off rotation, working alongside an existing engineer already on the job.
Key Requirements
Strong Trimble experience (essential)
Valid CSCS card
Confident working independently on survey and setting‑out tasks
Able to commit to the rotation pattern
What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting ongoing survey and setting‑out work
Covering workload during paternity leave
Delivering accurate survey data and maintaining QA standards
Working within a busy civils environment alongside the existing engineer
