Business Development Consultant | Supply Chain Management | Recruitment Specialist
About the Role
We’re seeking reliable and technically capable Engineering Technicians to join our contractor network and support the maintenance and optimisation of a high-tech automated facility. This is an ideal opportunity for professionals with a few years of hands-on experience in mechanical or electrical systems who are ready to take the next step in their careers—whether you're already a contractor or looking to become one.
As a key part of the on-site maintenance team, you’ll work with a range of automated equipment and gain exposure to cutting-edge systems in logistics and robotics.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical handling and automation equipment
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical or electrical faults to restore equipment functionality
* Support inspections, system testing, and minor repairs independently or alongside senior engineers
* Accurately log work completed using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
* Assist in root cause analysis of recurring faults and recommend practical fixes
* Follow health and safety procedures and operate access equipment where needed (including working at height)
Working Hours
* 10-hour day shifts Monday to Friday
* Ongoing work with strong potential for long-term involvement
What You’ll Need
* 2+ years of hands-on experience in maintenance, field service, or technical support (mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled)
* Basic understanding of automation systems, conveyors, or control panels
* Ability to read technical diagrams and follow structured procedures
* Comfortable working at height
* Good problem-solving skills and a proactive work ethic
Preferred (but not required):
* Experience with PLC fault finding
* Prior work in warehouse automation or logistics equipment maintenance
