This post requires PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e., child and/or adult), an application to Disclosure Scotland will be required to be deemed satisfactory before starting in post.
Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check than is currently the case. If the post is assessed as a "regulated role", your appointment will be subject to joining the PVG Scheme. About the role
The Postholder provides day-to-day Operational Management of the Domestic Services Department, including Linen and Sewing Room Services within a defined area of NHS Lothian which includes Hospitals, Health Centres, Scottish Ambulance Service depots and vehicles, Residencies, Office and Support Accommodation.
The postholder is responsible for managing delivery of domestic services to patients, staff and visitors, ensuring identified and auditable standards of cleanliness are met and maintained within all clinical and non-clinical environments. The service delivered must be compliant with Hospital Environment, Hospital Acquired Infection, Food Hygiene and other relevant regulations and guidance.
The Postholder is responsible to the Site Services Manager regarding Domestic Services and all related hygiene matters.
