🌟 We're Hiring: Investigatory and Safeguarding Officer
Are you passionate about safeguarding vulnerable people, adept at information gathering, and confident working in multi-agency environments? We are seeking a Safeguarding & Investigations Officer to join our Safeguarding, Prevention Hub at Nottinghamshire Police.
What You'll Do
* Disrupt repeat offenders linked to Violence Against Women and Girls, Domestic Abuse, Stalking, and Honour-Based Abuse, providing support and guidance to victims
* Interview victims, suspects and witnesses, ensuring compliance with the Victims' Charter and identifying vulnerability.
* Review, assess and research safeguarding referrals, ensuring risk is identified and managed appropriately.
* Analyse complex information to inform decisions, risk assessments and court-related processes.
* Attend multi-agency meetings to strengthen the collective safeguarding response and reduce risk.
* Prepare statements, case files and provide professional witness testimony when required.
* Work closely with partners and internal teams to support civil order enforcement and safeguarding actions.
* Knowledge of safeguarding practices and multi-agency approaches.
* Experience working within sensitive, confidential, and sometimes emotionally challenging environments.
* Strong communication skills - able to engage professionally at all levels, including during emotionally charged situations
* Ability to gather, assess and summarise information quickly and accurately
* Confident with decision-making
* Motivated, organised and able to manage workloads under pressure
* Level 2 English (Grade 4-9 or equivalent) and willingness to complete a PIP 1 accreditation
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required
