Job Description:
Equans is looking for a Senior Technical Services Manager to join our team in Wakefield on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week.
On offer is a salary of £68,000 (dependent on skills, knowledge, and experience), a company vehicle or allowance, bonus, and benefits package.
Flexible location, preferably North of England (Travel Across UK is required)
The Senior Technical Services Manager will report directly to the Account Director. You will lead, motivate, support, and provide direct guidance to the Site Facilities Managers, Supervisors, and operatives in providing technical service delivery across all the CCEP sites in the UK.
Ensure delivery of effective and efficient maintenance services encompassing mechanical, electrical, building fabric, and small project management. Core responsibilities include managing the National Electrical Testing and Inspection Team, Health & Safety, communication between the internal technical team and client contacts, and owning statutory and mandatory compliance.
The role holder will support procurement, setting to work, and monitoring of key service providers, ensuring inspections, maintenance, testing, verification, and repairs are carried out to the correct standards, with proper documentation and compliance.
What will you deliver?
* Provide assurance of contractual and statutory compliance, identify technical risks, and implement solutions while training staff in compliance management best practices.
* Ensure policies and procedures are adopted to demonstrate compliance with engineering standards, legislation, ACOP, British, European, and international standards, and industry best practices like SFG20.
* Collaborate with operational teams to establish standards, systems, and processes that deliver engineering excellence.
* Ensure safe systems of work are in place and compliant with contract specifications and recognized codes of practice, including acting as an Authorised Person where designated.
* Maintain healthy and safe working conditions, ensuring health and safety policies are effectively implemented across all activities.
* Manage compliance, external subcontractors, and ensure competence checks and proper appointment of contractors and in-house teams.
* Develop relationships with stakeholders, including Facilities and Utilities Managers, Senior Engineering Managers, and site delivery teams.
* Observe statutory and relevant requirements, especially relating to health and safety, electrical regulations, and safety standards.
* Support interface between clients and internal teams, providing technical and contractual backup.
* Lead, develop, and support technical staff, ensuring safe working practices and performance management.
* Produce technical reports for assurance and auditing purposes.

Who are we looking for?
* HNC/ONC/C&G or equivalent in mechanical, electrical, or building engineering.
* Management experience in Hard FM teams.
* Knowledge of SFG specifications, British Standards, and risk assessment.
* Health & Safety knowledge, preferably IOSH certified.
* Ability to interpret technical diagrams and work to plans.
* Leadership, flexibility, and strong relationship-building skills.
* Understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and Fire Safety systems, with expertise in Electrical/Mechanical and Legionella control.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and understanding of Written Schemes of Examination.
