We are seeking a passionate and skilled Maths Tutor to work with students outside of traditional classroom settings across Newcastle upon Tyne. You will offer one-on-one tuition either at students' homes or within the local community, helping them develop their mathematical skills, boost their confidence, and achieve their academic aspirations. Key Responsibilities: Deliver customised maths lessons tailored to each student’s unique needs and learning style. Monitor and track student progress, offering constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement. Cultivate positive, supportive relationships with students, encouraging a growth mindset and confidence in their abilities. Assist students with exam preparation, homework support, and enhancing their overall maths skills. Adjust teaching methods to suit a variety of learning levels and needs. Key Requirements: Strong understanding of the UK Maths National Curriculum for Key Stage 3 or 4, depending on the role. Prior experience tutoring maths to students outside of formal education or those with SEMH/SEN. Patience, flexibility, and the ability to break down complex concepts into accessible explanations. Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with students. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in maths or equivalent tutoring experience.
