Overview
We are currently looking for a courteous, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Senior Support Worker to join our company based in Surrey for our Brand-New Supported Living Service in Camberley. The role involves supporting individuals in eight flats at one location in Camberley. We are seeking someone with experience in supporting people who need positive behaviour support and encouragement in their day-to-day lives; however we offer a full training package for new staff so if you are looking to give something back to people who need support this role could be for you. A Senior Support Worker will assist with all activities of daily living and support residents to participate in a range of activities within the home and community. We use a person-centred approach focusing on supporting people to make their own choices, follow their own interests and gain independence. We empower people to choose how they want to live their life.
Responsibilities
* Support the Home Manager in ensuring the smooth running, organisation and management of the home.
* Lead, motivate, and direct a team of support workers to deliver outstanding person-centred care.
* Develop and oversee individualised care plans, ensuring they are effectively implemented and reviewed.
* Provide hands-on support to individuals with complex behaviours, acting as a role model for best practices.
* Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing regular supervision, training, and development opportunities.
* Ensure compliance with all organisational policies and regulatory standards.
* Liaise with families, other Mysa care and external professionals to coordinate care and promote well-being.
* Identify and address risks, promoting a safe and supportive environment for staff and individuals.
* Manage rotas, resources, and documentation to ensure smooth service delivery.

Requirements / Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in health and social care or willingness to work towards it
* Be well-organised, self-motivated, and able to delegate work appropriately
* Proven ability to lead and supervise others
* An understanding of Support planning, Risk assessment and the Mental Capacity Act (DOLs)
* Experience in or willingness to undertake training on administering medication
* A full driving licence is preferred, and willingness to use business insurance or to use own vehicle to support service users
* Above all, have a natural ability to help make the lives of others more fulfilling
* This role includes on-call responsibilities and may include up to 4 sleep-in shifts per month; sleep-in shifts are paid at £35 per sleep
