GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Pastoral Lead to join a school in Chesterfield. In this role of Pastoral Lead, you will work closely with staff, students, and families to provide pastoral care, address behavioural and emotional needs, and help create a safe and inclusive school environment.
Responsibilities as a Pastoral Lead:
* Support students’ social, emotional, and mental wellbeing.
* Monitor attendance, punctuality, and behaviour, intervening where necessary.
* Work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure cohesive support.
* Provide guidance and mentoring to students, encouraging positive choices and personal growth.
* Contribute to whole-school strategies for safeguarding and inclusion.
Requirements for Pastoral Lead:
* Experience in a pastoral, mentoring, or student support role within an educational setting.
* Strong communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps clearly explained.
