Job Description
We are currently seeking a Customer Controller to join our Customer Service team at Widnes Ports.
As a Customer Controller, you’ll be the first point of contact for our customers, offering excellent contract support and customer service in a fast-paced, encouraging environment to provide a continuous professional service to Stobart customers.
Shift: 5 days from 7, 09:00-18:00
Salary: £26,064 per annum
Key Duties of Customer Controller:
1. Act as the first point of contact with our customers regarding their deliveries, from prior to collection to delivery, escalating issues as required.
2. Ensure all customer orders are accurately created on ESL in-house system for delivery according to customer requirements.
3. Liaise with Planning Teams and action change requests to ensure consignments are collected and delivered as per customer needs.
4. Handle Driverline calls.
5. Coordinate with Forecasting, Planning, and AM teams about extra or short-notice loads and any additional costs.
6. Proactively monitor customer delivery compliance and investigate late and failed deliveries, reporting as necessary.
7. Ensure the accuracy of reported information; seek approval from the CS Manager when guidance is needed.
8. Learn and use customer-specific systems.
9. Accurately capture and report any additional costs within the specified timeframe.
10. Complete reports such as Customer dashboards and discrepancy reports as required, liaising with the CS Manager / Account Manager.
11. Ensure all consignments are rated correctly according to our Commercial rate card and within agreed timescales.
12. Complete a daily task list to confirm all requirements are fulfilled before the end of the day.
13. Support the Customer Service team as needed.
14. Stay updated with news, vacancies, and process updates via the ESL Intranet system.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a customer service environment.
* A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
* Good geographical knowledge.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* Excellent communication skills for delivering accurate information.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
