Responsibilities
* Provide technical supervision and line management of a team of Project Technicians
* Technically manage and coordinate the design and safe delivery of engineered MEICA projects within the Specialist Projects portfolio
* Ensure delivery of all projects complies with CDM regulations, undertaking the role of Principal Contractor and supporting the Client & Principal Designer
* Adhere to Yorkshire Water Engineering specifications and associated documentation
* Drive high standards in health and safety, risk management and control of work to comply with safety policy
* Ensure robust financial management and commercial awareness underpin all business decisions
What Skills & Qualifications You Will Need
* ICA based apprenticeship or Engineering degree or equivalent (ONC/HNC/BTEC in ICA Engineering)
* Understanding of control of works permits, POWRA, RAMS, etc.
* Knowledge of MEICA equipment and its role within projects
* Experience with electrical and ICA equipment and ability to develop engineered solutions
* Knowledge of CDM regulations and practical application
* Understanding of design and project delivery processes, hazard identification, risk assessment and site supervision
* Ability to respond to technical and non-technical queries
* Experience with ATEX standards
* Applies SI & ICA project development and delivery procedures (URS, SRS, P&IDs, FDS, FAT, SAT & O&M)
* Knowledge of SI & ICA best practices and standards
* Experience optimising SI control systems in a complex ICA landscape
You Will Also Benefit From Having
* Experience in a regulated utility or major asset management environment
* Commercially oriented or regulated environment experience
* Knowledge of SI, Automation and Instrumentation in a water utility setting
* Understanding of BS7671, BSEN 61511, BSEN 13849 and BSEN 62061 and related standards
* Knowledge of Schneider PLC, Mitsubishi (IEC 61131), Allen-Bradley HMI/PLC systems and iFix SCADA
* Understanding of process safety activities and documentation (Engineering Risk Assessments, Safety Reviews)
