Consultant in Dermatology - interest in Complex Medical Dermatology
Duties and responsibilities: Clinical roles: The postholder will, together with consultant colleagues, be responsible for the provision of dermatology services to the Guys & St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust to include: Severe Hidradenitis Suppurativa Services (including clinic, MDT, advice and guidance, research and teaching) Tertiary general Dermatology Services (including clinic, MDT, advice and guidance, research and teaching) Adult general dermatology services Inpatient medical dermatology services Take part in Dermatology Consultant on call rota Advise on the diagnosis and treatment of patients of the Trust in such hospitals, health centres or clinics or other premises as required. Continuing clinical responsibility for the patients in your charge, allowing for all proper delegation to, and training of, your staff. Regular meetings: Hidradenitis Suppurativa MDT Tertiary General Dermatology MDT Dermatology Grand Round Monthly Medical Advisory Committee Provide High Quality Care to Patients The post holder must be medically qualified and maintain GMC specialist registration and hold a licence to practice To develop and maintain the competencies required to carry out the duties required of the post. To ensure prompt attendance at agreed direct clinical care Programmed Activities.
