What will I be doing?
As our Scotland-based Account Manager, you'll take responsibility for key client portfolios across Scotland and Northern England. You'll:
* Build trusted, long-term relationships with clients and ensure full compliance with regulations.
* Conduct regular gap analyses and renewals, ensuring contracts remain profitable and effective.
* Work closely with technical teams to plan, deliver, and report on projects.
* Provide clients with practical guidance and Legionella awareness training.
* Identify opportunities for ethical up-selling and cross-selling in line with compliance standards.
* Attend client meetings, present reports, and contribute to tenders and new bids.
* Be the visible face of SMS Environmental, ensuring every client experience reflects our values of care, professionalism, and integrity.
What do I need to be successful?
You're someone who combines technical know-how with genuine relationship-building skills. You'll have:
* Experience in account management or a client-facing service role.
* A solid understanding of ACoP L8 and HSG 274 Parts 1, 2 and 3.
* Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
* Confidence using Microsoft Office and related systems.
* The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a supportive team.
* Health & Safety qualifications (NEBOSH or equivalent) — desirable but not essential.
