The Role of the Assistant Engineering Manager
* Ensure depot security and safe working practices when onsite
* Lead and supervise the team for vehicle servicing, maintenance, repair, overhaul, and cleaning
* Plan and allocate workload, coordinate with other team leaders to meet service and KPI targets
* Ensure availability of necessary resources such as parts, tools, and equipment
* Identify areas for improvement in fleet reliability, focusing on breakdown reduction and maintenance efficiency
* Assist the Engineering Manager in managing engineering costs and increasing team capabilities
Requirements
* Strong engineering background with experience in maintenance and repair, preferably in the Bus/HGV industry
* Knowledge of Health & Safety policies and practices
* Leadership skills to supervise and motivate a team
* Attention to detail
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Experience working with Trade Union representatives
