About the Role
The E‑Commerce Manager will accelerate digital growth by leading the development and execution of best‑in‑class online strategies across omnichannel retailers, eB2B platforms, and emerging commerce environments. This role will strengthen performance on priority retailer platforms, including Amazon, whilst shaping the future of digital commerce through capability building in pureplay, social commerce, and agentic shopping. Acting as the bridge between marketing, sales, and digital teams, the eCommerce Manager ensures the integrity of brand strategy online, drives category growth, and delivers outstanding shopper experiences across relevant digital touchpoints.
Main Responsibilities
- Own the day‑to‑day performance and optimisation of key omnichannel & eB2B retail accounts, partnering with the Customer & Sales teams to build compelling insight‑led activation & category growth.
- Lead Amazon growth plan, including digital shelf excellence, range optimisation & content strategy, using data to diagnose growth opportunities and drive market share.
- Shape the future eCommerce roadmap by identifying new sources of growth in pureplay, quick‑commerce, social commerce, and emerging AI‑driven shopping behaviours.
- Pilot test & learn initiatives to build organisational capability & embed new ways of thinking & working.
- Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor performance across channels, diagnosing conversion gaps & generating actionable insights.
- Champion eCommerce thinking across the organisation, supporting the upskilling of brand, commercial, & category teams. Lead new initiatives to unlock the right tools required to win in eCommerce, e.g. new portfolio or new content.
Who we are looking for
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in FMCG eCommerce, preferably in a food or snacking category.
- Proven hands‑on experience managing Amazon, including content, media, search, and commercial levers.
- Experience driving sales across major UK omnichannel retailers and eB2B platforms.
- Demonstrated success in building new digital commerce capabilities (e.g. pureplay, social commerce, marketplaces, digital trials).
- Strong understanding of eCommerce fundamentals: digital shelf, retail media, SEO, product content, & conversion optimisation.
- Data‑literate with the ability to interpret insights and translate them into clear commercial actions.
- Curious & forward thinking with an ability to operate in a fast‑paced, growth‑driven environment.
