Hearings Officer 3 months temp, mainly remote – only 1 day office based, near Elephant and Castle. £17.58 per hour (equivalent to £32 000). Working 35 hours per week. This is a dynamic, high-responsibility role at the heart of professional regulatory hearings. As a Hearings Officer, you will manage complex and often high-profile fitness to practise hearings, ensuring they run smoothly, fairly and in line with legislative requirements. You will work independently in a fast-paced, pressurised acting as the central point of contact for panel members, registrants, witnesses and legal representatives. Key Responsibilities * Lead the coordination and delivery of fitness to practise hearings. * Act as the primary liaison for all hearing participants. * Help to resolve issues and ensure hearings progress effectively. * Manage high-risk and high-profile cases with professionalism. * Provide compassionate support to vulnerable participants. * Oversee complex logistics, risk management, data security. * Assist Panels with drafting, checking and finalising written decisions. * Support publication of statutory outcomes (with appropriate redactions). * Ensure all stakeholders are kept informed of outcomes promptly and accurately.
