Overview
Operations is the beating heart of Amazon. As an Area Manager, you’ll make sure your site is running smoothly to meet customer demand. You will lead a team that ensures safety, efficiency, and high quality, and take on projects across the network to drive productivity.
Key Responsibilities
* Create, oversee, and drive a culture of safety and wellbeing
* Analyse and implement changes to keep quality and productivity at a consistently high level
* Oversee projects to streamline processes, optimise productivity and increase quality of service for customers within your area of responsibility
* Analyse shift performance against relevant business objectives, and put in place actions to improve operational excellence
* Work collaboratively with management-level colleagues to standardise shift practices
* Lead the Under the Roof team and relationships with Delivery Service Partners
A Day in the Life
You’ll work a shift pattern (Sun to Weds) at one of our sites, owning and driving a culture of safety and upholding quality and shift performance standards. You’ll oversee process improvements, drive implementation, manage routines, and handle wide‑scale operational contingency tasks. You’ll also mentor new managers.
About the Team
The team is part of Amazon Logistics (AMZL) located in Warrington DXM4, handling last‑mile delivery duties in partnership with third‑party distributors. It focuses mainly on operations, with 24/7 shifts, supporting a high‑performing, people‑focused environment.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree
* Experience in people management and team development
