About The Role
EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market-leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial, and BAM Nuttall. All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing, and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high-speed rail projects.
We are seeking to recruit a Site Engineer to join our Engineering team in the Aylesbury area. The Site Engineer will be responsible on site for overseeing junior engineers and assisting in construction operations. Applicants must hold a full driving license and have access to a vehicle due to the remote locations of our site compounds.
The Site Engineer will liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant, and materials to carry out works activities to the required standards, programme, and budget. Responsibilities include working with the setting-out team, managing junior engineers' performance and development, resolving technical problems on site in liaison with senior team members and the Sub-Agent, and monitoring subcontractors to ensure contractual compliance.
You will also assist in producing programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans, and contribute to financial forecasting.
About You
* HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent and working towards institute membership (ICE)
* Knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities and construction supervision skills
* Experience in utilities, earthworks, heavy structures, or drainage
* Full driving license required
* Competencies: CSCS White, White-Yellow, Red - Experienced, Black - Manager, or Gold - Supervisor
