What you will be doing
You will join an inclusive team providing care to people with neurological conditions, helping them along their recovery pathway towards a valued and fulfilled life. Your daily tasks include ward rounds, analyzing behaviors, updating patient records, and providing overall care, including assistance with personal hygiene.
This environment can be challenging, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance are essential. The rewards come from seeing residents improve and knowing you've made a difference.
The shift pattern is 12 hours a day, 3-4 days a week, including days, nights, and alternate weekends, totaling 37.5 hours per week.

Stanley House offers a multidisciplinary approach to long-term care with specialized therapies and interventions, including physiotherapy, art therapy, and input from neuropsychiatry experts. Residents have varied needs, from managing some independence to being fully reliant, involving personal care, eating assistance, and end-of-life care. You will support residents in activities and provide companionship, contributing to their quality of life and family support.
