Overview
On-Site Recruitment Manager role at Fitness Lifestyle Magazine. This is a site-based position located in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire. The role is to manage staffing and recruitment for a key logistics client, with a focus on high-volume temporary roles (primarily HGV Drivers and Warehouse Operatives).
Responsibilities
* Source and screen candidates; manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for primarily temporary HGV Driver and warehouse roles.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with client managers and candidates to understand needs and provide suitable matches.
* Coordinate agency staff availability (Drivers & Warehouse) to ensure compliance with policies and procedures; collaborate with the client to guarantee adequate staffing levels.
* Prioritise projects, coordinate with multiple departments, and seek to maximise efficiency while managing agency costs.
* Adapt to fluctuating demand, manage immediate starts, and provide responsive support to internal and external stakeholders.
* Identify additional staffing or service requirements the client may need.
Role Details
Salary: £40,000 per annum plus a competitive benefits package. Working hours: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM. Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, with Friday and Saturday off. Location: client premises in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire. This role may involve shift-based site coverage and proximity to operations.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience in recruitment and talent acquisition, preferably in a managerial or senior role within transport and logistics.
* Strong understanding of full-cycle recruitment processes and best practices for temporary staffing.
* Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR databases (e.g., Joined Up, IQX).
* Leadership ability to mentor and motivate staff; strong communication skills (written and verbal).
* Excellent time management and organisational skills; ability to prioritise multiple projects with competing deadlines.
* Strong decision-making abilities in fast-paced environments.
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred; CIPD certification advantageous.
