Engineering Manager – Precision Manufacturing
Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: Glasgow
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

What you’ll do:
* Lead New Product Introduction projects, managing technical objectives, timelines, budgets, and delivery.
* Drive process improvement across CNC machining and manufacturing operations, improving efficiency and reducing costs.
* Oversee quality control to ensure all components meet the highest standards (ISO 9001, AS9100).
* Provide technical leadership, from interpreting engineering drawings to approving design changes.
* Mentor and guide your team, building a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Act as a key liaison for clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and technical alignment.
* Manage budgets and resources effectively, contributing to bids and project planning.
What you’ll bring:
* Strong background in CNC machining and precision engineering.
* Hands-on experience with NPI, offline programming, and modelling.
* Sound understanding of metal treatments, plating, and painting processes.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
* A passion for quality, teamwork, and delivering results.
* Strong commercial awareness and IT literacy (ERP, MS Office).
Desirable but not essential:
* Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience).
* Familiarity with Six Sigma, 5S, SPC, FMEA, or Design for Manufacturing.
* Experience working within aerospace, defence, or other high-spec sectors.
