Senior Commercial & Construction Paralegal
Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per annum
Working arrangement: Flexible homeworking with no mandate for office presence, approximately once per fortnight
Annual leave: 28 days, plus bank holidays
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Commercial & Construction Paralegal to join a growing organisation delivering major construction, property and commercial services to a wide range of public and private clients.
This is a brand new role, created due to increased demand across the business. You will work directly with the Company Secretary (a qualified solicitor) and support a broad portfolio of projects across construction, property services, infrastructure and commercial operations. With the organisation scaling at pace and several divisions experiencing significant growth, this is an excellent time to join.
The role would suit a paralegal with strong experience with JCT and NEC contracts, who enjoys working in a fast-moving environment and taking ownership of their work.
Key Responsibilities
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial and construction contracts
• Working extensively with JCT and NEC suites and advising on contractual risk
• Supporting project managers across construction, property, infrastructure and commercial teams
• Reviewing ancillary documents such as warranties, guarantees and bonds
• Advising on procurement matters where needed
• Leading the maintenance of a new contracts register as a major project
• Supporting early-stage dispute handling and liaising with external advisers

About You
• Strong grounding in construction law with JCT experience essential
• Able to manage a busy and varied workload with minimal supervision
• Background in private practice, commercial in-house setting or local authority legal team
• Excellent communicator, comfortable working with operational teams and senior stakeholders
• Well-organised, proactive, and keen to shape new processes in a growing business
