The Holbrook & Shotley Practice are looking to welcome an assistant to the practice manager. This position is offered on a part-time basis for 20 hours per week, working Monday - Friday 9am - 1pm. You will support the practice manager with all aspects of operations, including managing data quality issues, providing advice and guidance to all practice staff in the use of the clinical system. You will provide support and training for current and new staff ensuring that data quality guidelines are understood and adhered to.
Main duties of the job
* Administration support to the practice manager
* Produce induction schedules and tutorials for the registrars
* Arrange and structure time to learn sessions monthly for administration staff
* Responsible for smart card administration
* Assist with the annual flu program
* Record and report staff absence, holidays and sickness
* Support the maintenance of staff HR files
* Manage and action tasks
* Support and training for new staff and oversee staff mandatory training
* Distribute all relevant NICE Guidance
* Maintain an equipment log ensuring that ICB and practice equipment is identifiable

Person Specification
Experience
* Experienced medical administrators within Primary Care ideally, with excellent IT and typing skills
* Adaptable and friendly with strong administration, time management and organisational skills.
* Excellent communicators who work in a confidential and discreet manner and are able to think on their feet in a busy working environment.
* Able to multi-task, work hard and maintain high level of attention to detail when under pressure.
* Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as comfortable working independently.
