Summary:
West Midlands Hospital is one of the West Midland's leading private hospitals set in acres of pleasant grounds at Colman Hill, Halesowen, ten miles from Birmingham City Centre. Operating since 1988 the hospital has 34 private bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities.
The role:
We currently have a great opportunity for a Housekeeping Team Leader to join our team at West Midlands Hospital, based in Halesowen.
We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated team leader of the hospital’s housekeeping team.
As the Housekeeping Team Leader you will have great communication and interpersonal skills and will be able to demonstrate a broad experience in the cleaning sector within a healthcare setting, hotel or similar environment. You will take an active part in the team completing rotas and staff records. You will be responsible for completing training and audits/inspections to ensure we meet and exceed expectations, to drive constant development and improvement.
Consideration will be taken for candidates who show the necessary qualities for this role. The Housekeeping Team Leader will oversee the cleaning standards of patient rooms, clinical and public areas throughout the Hospital.
You will supervise the day-day activities of the Housekeepers, whilst training and developing the team’s skills and knowledge to ensure that high cleaning standards are met inline with the clinical expectations.
Key duties:
1. Supervision, training and development of Housekeeping team
2. You will need to be able to oversee night and weekend staff
3. Staff rostering, induction and PDRs and absence management
4. Conduct training sessions with the housekeeping team to include COSHH, Isolation/MRSA cleaning, Equipment handling, Health & Safety
5. To undertake hospital cleanliness audits with department leads and implement any actions with the team
6. Ability to multi-task
7. Overseeing and ordering of cleaning supplies and equipment as required
