About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Supply Chain Co-ordinator to join our Procurement team within the food sector. You’ll be responsible for managing the flow of goods from suppliers to site, ensuring all inbound deliveries are handled efficiently, accurately, and in full compliance with food safety and organic standards.
This role requires someone with a strong background in food supply chain management, who understands the challenges of working with goods, complex import processes, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all goods-in processes, ensuring inbound purchase orders are accurately set up and packing lists are updated promptly.
* Coordinate with hauliers, freight forwarders, and customs agents to maintain accurate ETAs and quickly resolve delivery issues.
* Manage inbound scheduling with service providers to optimise cold chain efficiency and warehouse capacity.
* Monitor purchase orders, liaising with suppliers to resolve discrepancies or delays.
* Maintain a deep understanding of the organic and food supply chain, staying up to date with relevant legislation and certification requirements.
* Maintain daily and weekly arrivals schedules to ensure full visibility of inbound stock.
* Support capacity planning on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
* Ensure the most cost-effective and efficient routes to market are used.
* Keep an accurate, up-to-date database of inbound food products, including specifications, origins, and certification details.

Essential skills and experience:
* Proven experience in a food supply chain, logistics, or procurement role
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards and documentation requirements
* Familiarity with import/export procedures and customs processes
* Excellent communication and relationship management skills
* Strong data accuracy and attention to detail
* Proficient in Excel and supply chain management systems
