Here's the problem most installation companies have: they send surveyors who fill in forms. What they need are people who think like installers, who walk into a property and already start solving problems that haven't happened yet.

That's what this role is.
A growing business in the renewable energy sector is looking for an experienced Heating System Surveyor to carry out detailed domestic surveys that feed directly into system design and installation planning. You'll be the reason install day goes smoothly. Or the reason it doesn't. That matters here.
Day to day, you'll be assessing existing heating systems, identifying cylinder types, mapping pipe routes, flagging constraints, and spotting anything unusual before it becomes someone else's headache on site. Your survey reports and annotated floor plans feed the design team, the install team, and the bill of materials. You'll also support installation time estimates and be a first point of contact when install teams need problem solving input on the job. Gaps in your work become problems in the field. This company knows that, and they're hiring accordingly.
To be considered, you'll need at least five years in heating systems, ideally with retrofit experience, and a solid qualifications profile: Level 3 Plumbing and Heating, Unvented Hot Water, Low Temperature Heating and Hot Water Systems, and Heat Pump Installation and Maintenance. Experience with heat pumps or renewables is a genuine advantage, as is familiarity with EPCs or compliance processes.
This is a permanent, field-based role covering Edinburgh and Central Scotland, with a company vehicle or allowance and a real opportunity to be central to a business that's scaling quickly and takes the quality of its work seriously. xsngvjr
