As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. In this role you will be responsible for managing transport documentation, scheduling deliveries, laising with drivers and customers, and ensuring complicance with relevant transport regulations.
How you create impact
1. Monitor all Road & Rail movements to meet the authorities security plan
2. Manage the waiver process, raising waivers for sign off which do not meet the security standard
3. Check all road and rail movements meet the standard requirement prior to providing authority to proceed
4. Record all movements by road in real time and ensure that effective communications are maintained with drivers, customers and internal departments with regards to all movements.
5. Report/escalate any issues using the systems provided
6. Ensure all necessary information is supplied to the STVC Manager and Control Tower Team as required
7. Ensure effective communications to customers on execution of the plan for the day to day S5/Munitions delivery / Collections.
8. Ensure compliance with relevant transport regulations and company policies.
