Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 (dependent on experience and hours worked)

About Us
The All-weather Lifeboat Centre is RNLI's in-house boat building facility located in Poole, overseeing all stages of lifeboat build, repair, and refit.
We have a full schedule of Lifeboat Refits and are seeking experienced Marine Engineers / Mechanics to join our teams.

About the role
As a Technician Mechanic, you will undertake refit/repair of existing All Weather Lifeboats, including modifications, repairs, maintenance, vessel strip down, assembly, and diagnostics of mechanical systems such as engines, propulsion, hydraulics, and fuel systems. Working with other members of the ALC, you will ensure tasks are completed professionally and efficiently. A multi-skilled attitude is desirable.
The ALC provides a clean, organized, and safe work environment with all tools, materials, and PPE supplied.
About you
You must be able to work to engineering drawings and standardized work safely and efficiently. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team ensuring lifeboats are built and refitted on time and within budget, meeting RNLI’s quality standards.
Relevant City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3/BTEC qualifications, a time-served apprenticeship, or equivalent experience are essential.
Experience in boat production, marine refits, repairs, laminating, and working with epoxy composite materials is desirable.
