Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Multiskilled Engineer based in Stafford. The main purpose of the role is to provide electro-mechanical cover for our mixing and packing lines that produces sauces, syrups, fruit inclusions, and fillings.
The working hours are as follows – Monday to Friday 8 hour days: Week 1: 06:30 – 15:00; Week 2: 12:00 – 20:30
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure supervision and safe operating procedures for visiting contractors
2. Maintain Health & Safety rules and regulations
3. Identify potential hazards/risks to the Health & Safety Manager/responsible person upon discovery
4. Ensure all PPM schedules are completed and developed using predictive and diagnostic maintenance techniques
5. Initiate improvement plans in a pragmatic and proactive manner
6. Assist the engineering department in achieving its budget targets through the efficient use of materials and replacement parts
7. Follow the correct accounting/authorisation process when ordering replacement parts
8. Maintain and improve standards of hygiene and housekeeping in all areas of the factory
9. Undertake emergency breakdown repairs in a timely and efficient way on all production equipment
Your profile and entry requirements:
10. Multi-skilled apprenticeship
11. Electrical/Mechanical qualification, HND
12. FMCG experience
13. PC and PLC competent
14. Significant Trouble shooting and fault-finding diagnostics and resolution experience
15. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
16. Demonstrate team skills with a positive attitude and professional approach
17. DSEAR/ATEX experience
18. Dedicated and enthusiastic individual, who can demonstrate strong team working, problem-solving and communication skills.
