Teaching Personnel are seeking compassionate, resilient, and motivated Pastoral Support Assistants to work in secondary schools supporting students’ wellbeing, behaviour, and personal development.
This role involves working closely with students who may face social, emotional, or behavioural challenges, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in youth work, mentoring, coaching, or education who are passionate about supporting young people.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide pastoral and emotional support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Support students with behavioural, social, and emotional needs
* Work one-to-one and with small groups to improve engagement and wellbeing
* Promote positive behaviour and support the school’s behaviour policy
* Assist in managing behaviour incidents and supporting restorative approaches
* Liaise with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and senior leaders
* Monitor student progress, attendance, and wellbeing

Requirements
* GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
