We're recruiting Learning Support Assistants for a specialist SEND school in Rugby that supports pupils with a wide range of additional needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children and young people thrive in a supportive, structured environment.
The RoleYou will be supporting pupils with a variety of needs, which may include:
* Autism
* Communication and interaction needs
* Physical disabilities
* Complex learning needs
* Social, emotional, and behavioural challenges
Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing 1:1 and small group support
* Assisting with personal care where required
* Helping pupils access learning and develop independence
* Supporting classroom routines and learning activities
* Working collaboratively with teachers and the wider support team
* Creating a safe, positive, and inclusive environment
What We're Looking For
* Experience in SEND, care, or support work (school or residential)
* A calm, patient, and resilient approach
* A genuine passion for supporting young people
* Willingness to assist with personal care if needed
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
