Statutory Body - Interim Financial Controller - Up To £450 Per Day - 3 Months - Manchester - Start ASAP
Your new companyIndependent statutory body (Sport) working across the UK and responsible for financial sustainability.Your new roleIn this interim role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the Head of Finance by strengthening financial reporting and controls, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the 2025/26 accounts, and implementing an accruals-based accounting process.Please note, this is initially a 3-month contract with the potential to be extended dependent on performance. The role offers full-time flexible hybrid work, with 1-2 days in the office required per week in central Manchester.What you'll need to succeed
* You will be a fully qualified Accountant (CIPFA/ACA/CIMA/ACCA Level) or exceptional QBE with strong technical and financial expertise.
* You will have effectively used Power BI in previous roles to develop financial and performance reporting to ensure accurate reporting and informed decision-making.
* Candidates with a background in the public sector and / or a history of working within a regulated environment would be well suited to this role.
* You must be an excellent communicator with a hands-on approach and can-do attitude.
* Experience of a shared service centre environment and / or knowledge of Integra finance system would be beneficial but not essential.
* You will have a proven history of successfully implementing process improvements.
