ROLE SUMMARY

Cambridge College is a leading co-educational school in Peru, serving more than 1,200 students aged 2-18, and is affiliated with the Latin American Heads’ Conference (LAHC) and British Schools of Peru (BSP).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Collaborate with the Head of Secondary to develop and implement academic policies and programs aligned with the schools mission.
* Support teachers in adopting effective teaching strategies, assessments, and curriculum development.
* Assist in recruiting, selecting, and inducting teaching staff to meet academic standards.
* Lead and participate in professional development activities for staff.
* Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning outcomes, providing feedback and support.
* Work with the Senior Leadership Team to foster a positive school culture emphasizing excellence, well-being, and community.
* Act as a liaison with students, parents, and external partners to ensure effective communication.
* Manage departmental budgets, resources, and facilities.
* Lead or support special projects and initiatives.
* Coordinate IGCSE certificates and oversee external component uploads into IGCSE & IBDP platforms.
* Support student and family planning for academic pathways, including IBDP & IGCSE selections.
* Collaborate with the Deputy Head of Secondary Pastoral Lead to monitor students academic progress holistically.
* Participate in meetings with families regarding academic pathways at Kings.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
* Extensive experience in secondary education, including teaching and leadership roles.
* Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional design, and assessment.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* Proven leadership in team management and project oversight.
* Experience in middle management leadership roles.
* Commitment to ongoing professional growth.
* Ability to work effectively in diverse, multicultural environments.
* Knowledge of current educational trends, research, and best practices.
* Familiarity with educational technologies and tools.
