JOB DESCRIPTION A great opportunity to join the team at the Inland Border Facility.
Your Role
This role is responsible for the day to day operational functionality and performance of the inspection operations from off-load from trailers, to presentation for inspection, and reload on to trailers.
Your Responsibilities
1. Loading and unloading lorries including manual handling, using roller cages and other MHE
2. Ensuring the correct handling of all client products at all stages within the facility whilst remaining compliant with
manual handling procedures
3. Undertaking manual and/or electronic reporting requirements as requested
4. Take instruction from our on-site partners to support the inspection process
5. Updating the PINC Yard Management System following training
6. Carry out operational tasks to achieve departmental and site objectives
7. Maintain the inspection environment following training
8. COSHH Awareness following training
9. Assist drivers locating bays, support drivers in direction to bays and offices
10. Champion a health and safety culture
Your Skills and Experiences
11. Logistics experience in a large fast moving environment
12. Strong warehouse system experience
13. Strong knowledge of Health & Safety at work
14. Experience of working to agreed targets
15. Intermediate PC Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook
16. Understanding of warehouse practices. picking, loading
17. Work individually or as part of a team
18. Deliver to tight deadlines in an organised and informed manner
19. Good Communication skills
20. Ability to achieve a high level of accuracy
21. High attention to detail
22. Excellent interpersonal skills
23. Flexible approach to working hours, including covering holidays and absence when required
